• project management. Developmental and structural editing. Working with the author and other stakeholders to determine the parameters of the project
• conducting 30 hours of audio-recorded interviews with the author, other family members, and employees (13 people total)
• selecting material from the corporate archives
• transcribing the interview recordings and completing the data entry of archival material
• crafting the transcripts, additional written material, and archival excerpts into an engaging narrative told in the first person. Ghostwriting
• liaising with stakeholders throughout the project
• obtaining permissions from non-family interviewees
• choosing images and writing captions
• copyediting and proofreading
• designing the book and cover
• contracting and liaising with the printer on behalf of the client
